Lindbergh Aircraft Tug Company has introduced a new battery powered, walk-behind; electric aircraft pushback tugs designed for one person to safely and easily maneuver aircraft with dual nose wheels in/out of tight spaces in hangars or in staging on a ramp.
The unique feature on the Aircraft Caddy DNW (Dual Nose Wheel) is the extended width that accommodates dual nose wheels and still provides the 180 degree 5th wheel style turning on top of the lazy Susan. This maneuverability of the lazy Susan allows operators to turn the Aircraft Caddy 90 degrees each way of the dual nose wheel for extremely tight packing of, or turning in hangars if needed.
Lindbergh's aircraft pushback tugs have smooth acceleration and braking systems that eliminate the rough starting/stopping of gas powered clutching systems. Also, the quietness of their electric motors allows an operator to manipulate their airplane while having the full use of sound, site, and touch.
